The development will consist of: the demolition of the existing non-original extensions to the rear of the two-storey-over-basement detached house (Protected Structure), general restoration and decoration works including refurbishment of existing windows & doors, replacement of a nonoriginal windows at Basement, Upper Ground Floor and Second Floor Level; installation of calsitherm thermal insulation on the internal face of external walls throughout, reinstatement of a lime render finish on the external walls, reinstatement of a centred single leaf front entrance door with sidelights, internal layout changes on the First Floor level to allow for the creation of two ensuites, creation of new door opes to connect the main house to the proposed extension; creation of two new windows on the rear elevation; and the construction of a partly single and partly two-storey-over-basement extension to the rear of the house to accommodate two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, a boot room, a study and a plant room, and all associated site and ancillary works.
