Mulhuddart Cemetery, Church Road, Dublin 15

Fingal County Council (Operations Department) is proposing site improvement and development works at Mulhuddart Cemetery, Church Road, Dublin 15. The proposed development works are confined to two distinct areas of approx. 1,375m2 for the entrance carpark area and 228m2 for the reflection garden and Columbarium Walls, within an overall site area the (existing cemetery) of 30,840m2. In accordance with Part XI of the Local Government Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed development to be carried out at the above site. The nature and extent of the proposed development is as follows: a) New low-level boundary wall, railings and entrance gates with associated landscaping to a section of road verge along the Church Road boundary. b) The development of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing point on Church Road to link with existing paths on the opposite side of road. c) Reconfiguration of the existing cemetery public carparking including resurfacing, drainage and services installation (including CCTV) and new bin storage areas. d) The development of a landscaped reflection garden with columbarium walls in the north-east of the cemetery. 300 inches within the walls and 100 low level memorial plots are proposed for storage of ashes within the development.
