The existing bridge and steps which link the Weste , and Brookfield Health Sciences Complex , University College Cork

retention and completion of elements of the pedestrian bridge, steps and disabled lifts which were permitted under Planning Register Reference No. 06/31088; the development as now proposed comprises the following amendments to the permitted plans and particulars; (1) retention of parapet walls at each end of the bridge (2) retention of revised site layout with the disabled lifts relocated to the west of the steps (3) construction of two new glass and steel structures c. 6m high to enclose the disabled lifts, at the existing bridge and steps which link the Western gateway building and Brookfield Health Sciences Complex.
