Permission to complete maintenance and refurbishment works at Claddagh Basin, Galway. The Claddagh Basin is a protected structure under RPS 2206, Quays, Piers & Locks including Lock Gates. The proposed works will comprise of; removal, refurbishment and reinstatement of the exsisting lock gates (works required to prolong their lifespan); the provision of additional anchor support to the existing quoins; the provision of a new pedestrian footbridge attached to the refurbished lock gates (similar to the original feature on the old wooden lock gates); removal of the existing footbridge and realignment of existing footpaths together with associated site development works
