to carry out the following development at Main Street, Ennistymon, Co. Clare. Rejuvenation and enhancement of the streetscape. The proposed development will include: 1) Undergrounding of overhead ESB cables and removal of poles. 2) Installation of new public lighting on decorative columns. 3) Expansion of pedestrian areas to include provision of street furniture. 4) Provision of new pedestrian crossing. 5) The installation of associated signage. 6) All ancillary site works. In accordance with the Habitats Directive, Appropriate Assessment Screening has been carried out on the project. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made and concludes that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development. These works are located within the Ennistymon Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) and would materially affect the character of the ACA.
