Permission for development which will consist of a change of use of the single-storey COH safety sales unit from retail use to office use on a site to the rear of Penrose House, bounded by Penrose Quay, Railway Street and Penrose Dock, Cork City. The proposed development will also consist of internal alterations to include entrance steps, services room, storeroom, bike store and welfare facilities on the ground floor , and the construction of a mezzanine floor and escape stairs at first floor level; internal lift; external alterations to the main entrance on the east elevation including the removal of the existing roller shutter door, the provision of a replacement door with glazing, feature bands and brise soleil, and a new door; glazing, feature bands and a new door to the west elevation; new rooflight and lift overrun; and minor internal demolition works.
